Play-Based Assessment Kit
Have you ever had an assessment go sideways on you where you know you aren’t going to be able to get anything standardized and wondered what do I do instead? When this happened to me I decided I needed a play-based assessment kit so I could easily switch to a play-based assessment and gain a better overview of my student’s overall communication strengths and weaknesses. I pair this kit with my Play-Based Assessment Checklists in my TPT Store. Let’s take a look at what’s included in my kit! (I also created an amazon link to all the materials in my Amazon Storefront too). I find these materials are highly engaging and allow me to work on a variety of skills as well. Some of the skills we target naming/identifying colors, size and pictures, taking turns, making requests and a variety of articulation sounds.
Last but not least, I include a mini-communication board too for my students who are not yet communicating verbally. (This one I threw together for the kit, it is not posted anywhere but I would recommend checking out my AAC Kit Bundle Pack for a variety of boards.
